Airbus UK Broughton FC were deserved winners to move into a coveted top 10 spot leaving Aberystwyth boss Alun Morgan to rue his side’s inconsistency.
Goals from strike duo Carl Owen and Marc Lloyd Williams settled the contest in the second half of a game where chances were few and far between.
Jack Abraham almost gave the Wingmakers an early lead, rattling the angle of post and crossbar from just outside the box.
Lloyd Williams failed to find his shooting boots in the first wide, miscuing a good chance, while Aneurin Thomas headed over the bar for the Seasiders from Conall Murtagh’s cross.
The first goal arrived on 57 minutes when Owen flicked a header at the near post past keeper Steven Cann from Geo Feliciello’s right-wing flag kick.
Defender Gareth Hughes put the ball inches over his own bar from another cross by Feliciello, who then provided the delivery from which Lloyd Williams steered a precise header into the far corner of the net for the second.
And Owen was only denied another goal by Cann’s tip-over save.
